Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Wednesday, inaugurated the India Mobile Congress 2025 at Yashobhoomi, Delhi, highlighting the country’s rapid progress in the telecom sector. “India Mobile Congress and the country’s success in the telecom sector reflect the strength of the Aatmanirbhar Bharat vision,” he said.
Addressing the gathering, PM Modi highlighted India’s remarkable journey in the telecom sector, from struggling with 2G to achieving widespread 5G coverage. “The country that once struggled with 2G…today, 5G has reached almost every district of the same nation,” he noted. The Prime Minister also highlighted India’s indigenous 4G stack development, stating, “India has launched its Made in India 4G Stack. This is a major indigenous achievement for the country. With this, India has joined the list of just five countries in the world that possess this capability.”

PM Modi expressed confidence in India’s potential to lead globally in the telecom sector. “We have the world’s second-largest telecom market, the second-largest 5G market, the manpower, mobility, and mindset to lead,” he said. He added, “In mobile, telecom, electronics, and the entire technology ecosystem… wherever there are global bottlenecks, India has the opportunity to provide solutions to the world.”

The Prime Minister emphasised the importance of digital connectivity in modern life. “Digital connectivity in India is no longer a privilege or a luxury. It is now an integral part of every Indian’s life,” he said.
Inviting investors and innovators to take advantage of India’s growing opportunities, the Prime Minister exclaimed, “This is the best time to invest, innovate, and make in India!”
The India Mobile Congress 2025 has become a platform for showcasing India’s technological advancements and innovations in the telecom sector. With the government’s focus on Aatmanirbhar Bharat and digital connectivity, India is poised to become a global leader in the telecom sector.
